Adams Mill, built in 1845 to 1846 on Wildcat Creek northeast of Cutler, is a three-and-a-half-story frame grist mill that ground grain until 1951 and is now a local attraction showing how it worked. Visit Indiana lists it among Indiana's haunted places. Visitors describe footsteps on the stairs when no one is there and a woman in a blue dress who stands at a third-floor window and vanishes, and some claim to be held back on the nearby Adams Mill Covered Bridge. In October the mill hosts a Haunted Adams Mill event with tours of its three floors. The stories are visitor lore, told alongside the mill's documented history.
Historic mill on Wildcat Creek; the grounds are open in daylight, and tours of the mill (about $10) run on select dates, including the October haunted event. Check the mill's listing for dates.
