During night games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, particularly in the closing minutes, spectators have reported a figure on the stadium's upper deck, along with a scream and a single heavy crunch. Local accounts, which could not be independently confirmed, describe a man falling to his death from the upper level in the 1960s; the death was ruled accidental, though the belief persisted locally that he had been pushed. The Coliseum opened in 1923 as a memorial to the veterans of the First World War and is the only venue to have hosted two Olympic Games, 1932 and 1984, with a third scheduled for 2028. It also staged the first Super Bowl in 1967 and is a National Historic Landmark.
Operates as a working stadium (LA Memorial Coliseum); visiting requires an event ticket.
