This shoreline bed and breakfast has operated since the 1920s. Its original owner, a wealthy man, died in a fire at the house — some versions of the story hold he set it himself — and is said to haunt the property still, playing piano and listening to music from his era. Past innkeepers and guests report beds coming unmade on their own, ragtime music drifting through the vents, a piano playing with no one at the keys, and luggage and bedding turned over and scattered. During a renovation years later, the house caught fire again.
