Point Sur Lightstation stands on a volcanic rock off Highway 1 and is now a California State Historic Park. Docents tell of an apparition in 19th-century clothing near the tower and of former keepers' families lingering in the buildings, and Ghost Adventures investigated in 2012. The accounts are lore; one docent says he does not believe them.
