The Kennedy Mine was one of the deepest gold mines in North America and killed 36 workers over its years of operation; its headframe and wheels still stand above Jackson. Ghost Adventures investigated in 2018, and later paranormal tours have been run on the site. The haunting claims are lore tied to a documented history of mining deaths.
