Island Path is a street near Hampton Beach said to be haunted by Eunice "Goody" Cole, a Hampton woman accused and imprisoned for witchcraft in the 1600s and remembered locally as one of the best-known accused witches of colonial New Hampshire. New Hampshire haunted-places lists describe moving objects, random lights and apparitions of her figure along the road. The stories are local legend, and Goody Cole herself is a figure of real historical injustice.
