Built around 1890 as a boarding house for mid-level mine management, this building spent more than fifty years in one family's hands as the Garcia House, and has also been a funeral home, a religious retreat and an art gallery. It is a bed and breakfast today, restored in stages through the 1990s and 2000s. Guest reports began in the mid-1990s: a friendly presence associated with the Cleopatra Room, a male presence in the hallway outside the Verde View Room, disembodied voices, and doors that slam. The owners are straightforward about it — the inn's name refers to Jerome's own years as a ghost town rather than to any claim about the building, though they allow it may be haunted anyway.
Ghost City Inn operates as a bed and breakfast open to overnight guests; the Cleopatra and Verde View rooms can be requested when booking.
