William Henry Harrison Clayton remodelled this Italianate house in the Belle Grove district in 1882, while serving as United States attorney for the Western District of Arkansas — the prosecutor who argued cases before Judge Isaac Parker's court. The house was restored and has operated as a museum since 1977, and is also used for events. Staff, visitors and investigating groups describe three presences: a tall man in boots, a woman in a brown dress, and a cat. Recordings made in the house are a regular part of the local paranormal groups' work there. Ghost Files, the YouTube series with Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej, investigated the house in "The Wealthy Wraiths of the Clayton House" (2025).
A house museum in the Belle Grove Historic District, open to the public for tours.
