Buffalo Central Terminal, a 17-story Art Deco railroad station opened in 1929, closed to rail service in 1979 and is being restored by a nonprofit. Ghost Hunters stayed a full night here in season four and it is widely called Buffalo's most haunted place, with stories of apparitions, the sense of being watched and a woman named Rose at the baggage claim. The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation holds tours and ghost hunts.
Not open for casual visits; the nonprofit offers scheduled tours and special events and ghost hunts. Check its calendar before going.
